It was with shock that i heard this news. I mean i know it's normal to pretend people were saints after they die, but in this case, it is just the fact. Solomon or Captain Solomon as i knew him in Uniben was just an extraordinary person. His wife Judith won The Miss Skomit or Miss Uniben (forget which) and that's how they met. I even saw him later in Kaduna during my Youth Service and we partied together for months. R.I.P.


"The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Solomon Giwa-Amu has died in an automobile accident this morning. The accident occurred while the newly promoted officer was travelling to Jaji early this morning.
Giwa-Amu was a former ADC to President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was recently appointed director of public relations for the Nigerian Army.
It is not known if there are others involved in the crash.
